What lessons have you learned in your career so far?
'One of the most important lessons I've learned is that the human factor in asset management is just as crucial as figures and models. Initially, my focus was on quantitative analysis, but I discovered that success is not just about returns, but also about collaboration within teams and with stakeholders. What's more, change is the only constant in this sector. Whether it's new regulations, volatile markets or changing customer expectations, flexibility and innovation are essential to remain relevant.'
What reading, listening or viewing tip would you recommend to our readers and why?
'I recommend “Thinking, Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. This book provides insight into how people make decisions and which cognitive biases influence our thinking. In the investment world, it helps to recognise pitfalls and make more rational choices.'
